How do we prepare to lay aside mediocre behaviors that produce mediocre results?
“Let us begin and analyze a few ways to become a better “YOU”.”
Each day we wake up, what is it that we are striving for? Are we striving to accomplish a goal? Are we striving to just make it through each day? Are we striving for absolutely nothing at all, except mediocrity?
Whatever it is that we are striving for; we must put our focus on doing our best. As we attempt to be our best and progress each day, we must continue to become better versions of ourselves. We must not only find ways for personal development and growth, but we must also be driven to take on challenges and face fears that hold us back from being our best. We must occupy our minds and act in a space with traits that bring out the best in us.
So today I challenge you to look in the mirror and ask yourself….“Am I going to do all I can to become the best version of myself today?” Let us begin and analyze a few ways to become a better “YOU”.
1. Prepare, Commit, Become Discipline
“The only difference between these challenges is how well we prepared for them, and how well we produced through them. Were we committed to being productive or did we throw in the towel during our challenge?”
As we prepare to start our day, we must make a conscious effort to look at ourselves in the mirror and be determined to be better than we were yesterday. We should find ways to be more efficient and effective in all our daily tasks every day. We need to commit that we will be better than we were yesterday. We should be determined to build on yesterday and live more productively than we lived yesterday. Life does not come with tasks that are always easy to accomplish, in fact as the great Malcolm X said…“The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.” This is the way we should approach our challenges as they arise. Preparation and commitment are the first steps to being our best each day. Preparation and commitment are what sets us apart from who we were yesterday. The smallest change such as making our bed before we leave the house could have the largest effect that leads to us becoming the best version of ourselves. We should not take these small tasks lightly, they could be the spark to the fire that lights our day towards our success.
We must prepare ourselves mentally, physically and emotionally for the challenges that will come our way. Each challenge will come and then each challenge will go. The only difference between these challenges is how well we prepared for them, and how well we produced through them. Were we committed to being productive or did we throw in the towel during our challenge?”
We must be prepared to fight and never let anything hold us back from what we are trying to accomplish. We must remind ourselves that we have been blessed with a skill set and with tools to handle whatever hindrances and weights in our lives that come pulling us down. Luke 12:48 reads “To whom much is given, much is required.” We have been given all we need to handle WHATEVER it is that will come and that will pass our way. We must be prepared first and then committed through this journey to deliver our best no matter the circumstance. Prepare, Commit and Become Discipline in your practice towards a life of being a better you.
2. Analyzation
“This will put us in a place of self analyzation. A place where we are facing the truth behind the only thing holding us back….ourselves…the person in the mirror.”
There are many ways to produce less today and still become a better version of ourselves. Self-analyzation is the key. The best way to being the best version of YOU is to continually build on the power of rich habits. We must remove the habits and actions that have helped us self-destruct and stripped us of the power instilled in us. We must stop dipping in actions that belittle us and block us from being our best. We cannot allow ourselves to become passive and absorb into bad habits. If we do not remove ourselves from these habits, then we risk becoming stuck in mediocrity.
Once we get to a stage of continuously building on habits to bring the best out of ourselves, then we must discipline our minds and flesh. During this time we are able to see the evidence of our growth. This will put us in a place of self analyzation. A place where we are facing the truth behind the only thing holding us back….ourselves…the person in the mirror.
3. Decoding and figuring out our Blueprint
“Once we have our blueprint then we put ourselves in a position to make habitual changes to fulfill our destiny and reach our full potential.”
Whenever we decode the structures and patterns that we have created that have slowed down our progress to becoming our best, then we can see growth. Until then we are rebuilding without a blueprint and limiting ourselves. At this stage all our work is misconstrued because we have not truly figured out the structure and patterns in our lives that we need to build on and the ones we need to eliminate. Once we have decoded those patterns and structures then we have our blueprint. Once we have our blueprint then we put ourselves in a position to make habitual changes to fulfill our destiny and reach our full potential.
Each one of us has greatness in us, but it is up to us to figure out the blueprint to what is working in our lives and what is slowing us down from our greatness. We owe it to ourselves to change direction starting today. Once we accept change, then we can finally eclipse our greatest issue…..The person we see in the mirror. Whenever we take the time to dig deep down inside and examine our spirit and gain that connection then we can mold ourselves to exhibit top-tier traits. Once we stop making excuses and trust the spirit in us and take initiative to change then we can see what truly is in store for us. We have become adept to believe that this is the best it is going to get for our lives. However, the spirit inside us has unlimited potential so once we no longer trust in the flesh then the realization is the best is yet to come. Once we take that next step, the greatness placed in us which has been there since day one can come out and it shines brighter each day. It becomes a part of us, it gives us access to the spirit and we can see what our creator has placed in us. .
What’s next? What can we take away from this message?
“This whole time we have been running the race of life in the wrong shoes. So take off those beat up kicks full of excuses and put on your running shoes. Lace up, these shoes were meant to run the race of life.”
We must line up in this race against life to be our best and break free from patterns that are slowing us down. We must hurdle over and through our obstacles in this race to get to our best. This is how we become our best from start and this is how we finish each day at our highest value by taking action. Our lives are our investment, becoming the best version of ourselves is our investment to become all we are worth. It is our responsibility to be the very best version our creator has created us to be. Yes, we will fall down jumping through the hurdles of life. Yes, it will hurt when we are fall flat on our face trying to become our best. However, we must get up and keep our eyes on the finish line. It is a long race, so a few slip ups and mistakes do not stop us from finishing strong. We take each lesson day by day and learn from them so that next time we can clear the next hurdle. This whole time we have been running the race of life in the wrong shoes. So take off those beat up kicks full of excuses and put on your running shoes. Lace up, these shoes were meant to run the race of life. Get on your mark, stare down your lane and close your eyes. Take a breath and tell yourself “Its time, the time has come to reach a point of full commitment.” Now open your eyes, the old you is no more. Today you take your first step to becoming a new “YOU”.
“Once we reach this point we are a natural force that has become limitless…..UNSTOPPABLE.”
“An UNSTOPPABLE force in your lane towards becoming the best version of “YOU”.”
